Rice Tits

Rice tits explores the idea of consumable bodies through notions of community and generational Chinese home cooking. These disembodied symbols create something to be examined and explored through the sense of touch. The works lifecycle starts by being casted, shaped, frozen, boiled, put on display and eventually ends with being discarded.

Surrounded in a compact room of nipples standing together in a straight line, held up by nothing but the material itself, what happens to the audience once the exploration is over? As our first food source, when did nipples become sexualized?
